Jez Bennett – Principal, Leadership and Training Centre

Jez has a passion for developing leadership in others, and for the value of arts in education. He is an experienced headteacher, governor and leader in secondary schools, and has particular interests in curriculum and leadership development.  He is also a practising musician as a performer, conductor, composer and teacher, and believes that the arts have significant potential to transform and develop the educational landscape.

Zara Peskett – Assistant Headteacher, Staff Development

Zara has an interest in all things pedagogical and enjoys exploring educational literature and research. She is a social scientist with specialisms in emotional intelligence and educational change. She is a current assistant headteacher with responsibility for staff development, a primary school governor, Whole Education champion and LTC facilitator. 

Liz Jobling - Director of Teaching and Learning Standards

Elizabeth's professional career has focused heavily on the development of others. She is an experienced senior leader and adviser and has worked as both an Advanced Skills Teacher and an OLEVi facilitator.  Her specialisms are pedagogical practice and creative problem solving, and she has an unshakable drive for individuals to become 'the most amazing versions of themselves'. Oscar Wilde's quote 'those that live within their means suffer from lack of imagination' represents her approach to the education of both colleagues and students.

Nigel Cross – Leading Practitioner Maths

Nigel is a Specialist Leader in Education and has worked with a wide variety of schools over the past 10 years at both primary and secondary level. Prior to this Nigel led his school's maths and computing status as an Assistant Headteacher and also ran a large secondary maths department.  Nigel is passionate about making mathematics teaching as engaging as possible. He has run courses and workshops at conferences on creative maths teaching in addition to writing for several publications.

Steve Livesey - Director of Data and Assessment for 5 Dimensions Trust

Steve has an enthusiasm for the world of educational data. His secure knowledge and creative skills in using and applying educational data are second to none. He has held senior leadership roles in various schools and is leading on data and assessments across 5 Dimensions Trust. Steve is meticulous in his approach and the data systems he has been put in place are highly rated by all stakeholders for clarity, and simplicity. He is a father and husband and understands the need to reduce workload for senior and middle leaders, through practical and highly organised data and assessment structures.

Glen Martin – CEO, 5 Dimensions Trust

Glen has been an educational leader for many years. He is currently the CEO of 5 Dimensions Multi-Academy Trust with two large secondary schools (circa 3,500 students).  He was headteacher of a successful, oversubscribed school for ten years and prior to that a deputy head and head of a large sixth form. He has supported other schools and been an National Leader of Education. He is passionate about education for all and believes that students should enjoy their education as well as aiming for the best possible exam results and that schools should be creative in supporting these aspirations.

Tony Nelson – Principal, The Hazeley Academy

Tony has been a successful headteacher, senior leader and governor in schools in contrasting contexts and phases. His area of expertise links to the flow connecting vision, values, strategy and action. Helping people reflect and unlock how they can optimise their leadership style and resources in response to their situation and the opportunities ahead of them is one of his passions. Tony believes strongly in creating communities of exceptional people and this starts with service-led leadership. 

Chris Holmwood – Headteacher, Shenley Brook End School
